FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES:

From ARC – ARC is currently seeking proposals to conduct research and provide guidance regarding public transportation in the Appalachian Region. This project will help ARC better understand the extent to which existing public transportation services are adequately creating or enhancing access in the Region, particularly in rural areas. Read the Request for Proposals, due on or before COB July 12.

The U.S. Department of Labor is making $29 million available via the Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC) initiative to implement innovative approaches to provide enhanced training and support for dislocated workers. Applications are due July 15, 2019 and must be received no later than 4 p.m. Eastern Time.

HAC has partnered with the National Endowment for the Arts to administer the Citizens Institute on Rural Design (CIRD). ) Request for Applications is live! It is now posted on the HAC website and will be open until July 22nd

$85 Million Available for Pre-Apprenticeship Programs for Young People (YouthBuild) – if you are interested in applying, especially if this is your first time, we have an offer of help to coach and review your application, please email Jackie or Vonda. Applications are due August 6, 2019 4 p.m. ET
