KHC – 2020 Multifamily Applications Due August 15, 2019 – The Universal Funding Application for the 2020 Multifamily Housing Credit funding round is available  

ARC is currently seeking proposals from eligible organizations to partner on a new high school entrepreneurship summer program. The program will provide comprehensive entrepreneurial training and supportive services to selected high school students who will be seniors during the 2020–2021 academic year. Read the Request for Proposals, which must be submitted by close of business on our newly extended deadline of September 6, 2019.

HUD – (NOFA) posted: FY 2019 CoC Program Competition: Funding Availability. The CoC Application, CoC Priority Listing, and Project Applications will be available the week of July 8, 2019 in e-snaps. Collaborative Submission Deadline: Monday, September 30, 2019 at 8:00 PM EDT

The HUD-VASH program combines HUD Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) rental assistance for homeless veterans with case management and clinical services provided by local VA Medical Centers (VAMCs), community-based outpatient clinics (CBOCs), or other entities as designated by the Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The VA medical facility refers all eligible HUD-VASH families to the partnering Public Housing Agency (PHA). Registrations of Interest must be submitted electronically to no later than midnight in the time zone of the PHA on August 19, 2019. See Section 7 of the notice for all Registration of Interest Requirements.

HUD released a new online course called CHDO Opportunities in HOME. This self-paced online training serves as both a comprehensive introduction and an important refresher on regulatory requirements for CHDOs under the HOME Program.

Online Self-Guided Training from NWA – Fahe has purchased unlimited access to 22 training courses, registration (free of charge to Fahe Members). You can register through Sept. 30 and have 60 days in which to complete the course and tests. Contact Jackie for registration info.

From Katy Stigers: Fahe is represented in the current issue of the Journal of Appalachian Health. This new journal focuses on rapid sharing of results and knowledge about health in Appalachia. It is open source/open access so unlike many scholarly publications it is easy to access. The articles are readable for a lay audience, with a peer-review process to ensure quality and rigor.  Check out the table of contents for relevant articles. Initially funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Check out the “Voices from the Hollow section” and share your thoughts!
